Close-up mid section of woman holding seedlingThe next W&L Newcomers event is a bit different than the usual wine and cheese. W&L Newcomers (anyone employed less than 3 years), their families and children are welcome to attend a Campus Garden Work Session to do light gardening such as weeding, watering, harvesting vegetables and building raised beds. The Campus Garden was started in the summer of 2008 with assistance from Dining Services, the Biology and Facilities Management Departments and the Campus Kitchen Project. The half acre garden is composed of vegetables and herbs. Most of the produce is used by the Campus Kitchen Project.

When: Thursday, July 31st, 5:00-6:30pm.
Where: W&L Campus Garden. The garden is most quickly accessed from the upper Law School parking lot. There is a trail that starts at the Peterson Data Center located at the upper end of the lot and goes up the hill to the garden.
